My Sweet Husband

Ryan and I have been married for over nine years. He has always been such a darling husband. When we were first married I was not a very good cook. Every time I would burn something or things did not turn out the way they should, he would eat it with a smile and say "This is just the way I like it". He always listens to me when I need to talk. Whenever he sees that I am overwhelmed he does what he can to relieve my stress. He also loves to give me gifts. (not too often because we are after all still in school). The other day he came home and told me he had brought me something. (I was expecting a box of orange sticks because these are my favorites). I was very surprised when I opened the box and found a string of pearls. They are so pretty. I love them, but I especially love Ryan.

The Dancing Queens

Bridget and Abby love to dance. Bridget started taking dance classes when she was three and Abby started when she was two. Anna is also a wonderful dancer but she has not had any formal training yet. She just shakes her bottom and spins around whenever she hears music.

On may 31 2008 they had a recital. They did dances to songs from Mary Poppins. Abby's class danced to "Sister suffragette", and "The Perfect Nanny". Bridget's class danced to "Jolly Holiday", and "Chim Chiminy". They did such a good job and had a great time. We had to rush a bit that day because they had their first soccer games right after the recital. It turned out to be a very fun day.

Soccer

Bridget and Abby both played soccer this summer and they had a great time. Bridget played once before back in 2005. She got a trophy for playing, and Abby has always wanted a trophy too. I think this is the main reason Abby wanted to play soccer this year.

Abby was in a league of 3 & 4 year olds. these games were very funny to watch. The kids did not always understand the objective. They just wanted to kick the ball, it did not matter what direction. There was usually a parent running around with each kid telling them what to do. Abby was the only four year old on her team. She discovered how to change direction and kick the ball into the correct goal sooner than her teammates. She made many goals for her team and she was very proud of herself.

Bridget's team was very different they had goalies and many of the kids on the team had a lot of experience. Her team did very well. Bridget really enjoyed it. She loves to run, and like everything she does, she looked very graceful doing it.

Last Saturday was their last game and they received their trophy's. Abby was so thrilled to finally have a trophy of her own. She has told everyone about it.

My Three Little Angels

Bridget Jane Paulsen was born October 13, 2000. She weighed 9 lbs. 8 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. She has light brown eyes and blond hair. Her skin tans easily. Throughout the first year of her life she was the chubbiest baby I have ever seen. She had glorious cheeks that everyone wanted to squeeze. She didn't have any hair in front but long curls in the back. Ryan always said she looked like a balding man. She is now seven and about to enter second grade. Her favorite subject is math. Her favorite colors are green and blue. Her favorite vegetable is broccoli. She loves to swim. She is a very good climber. She can climb up a pole like a monkey. She loves to play on the monkey bars. She loves jewelry. She was very jealous when Ryan bought me a pearl necklace a few weeks ago.She is very sensitive and tender hearted. She loves to dance and is very graceful.

Abigail Anne Paulsen was born November 11, 2003. She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. she has blue eyes and blond hair. She also has her mothers light skin. She has always been very outgoing. She makes friends easily. She is also very sensitive and tender hearted. She hates to be told no. The other day she told me she wanted a nicer mom. I asked her what I could so to be a nicer mom. She replied that I should stop saying no and probably not and say yes more often. Her favorite colors are pink and purple. she has many favorite vegetables, Including broccoli, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, spinach. She is a great helper. she loves to help me cook. She loves to clean the bathroom,(which by the way is fine with me). She also loves to help her grandpa Steed in the garden. last year she excitedly told him that he had his own potato dig site. Lately she has decided that she likes to exercise. She will tell me she is going for a jog and then go outside and run around the court two or three times. She says she needs to stay fit. ( where does she learn these things). Abby loves to experiment. She likes to test things. (sometimes my patience). She is now four and will go to preschool this year.

Anna Sophia Paulsen was born February 20, 2007. She weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. She has dark brown eyes, and what little hair she has is blond. Her skin tans easily like Bridget's. She looks more like Bridget than Abby. She is Now seventeen months. She is a thinker. Sophia means "wise", and I really think this name fits her well. She just has a very wise look. She didn't crawl until she was a year old. She sat up from laying on her back before she crawled. She loves bananas. She also likes to smear yogurt on her head. She loves to play in the sandbox and on the swings. She has just discovered the slide, and she could spend hours there if mom would let her. Her hair is coming in like Bridget's did. She has just peach fuzz on the sides and top, but she has a strip of long hair in the back. She loves her uncle Dylan. She chooses to go to him over anyone, (including mom and dad). Her favorite word right now is "no". Her favorite game is when her sisters ask her if she wants her name to be silly things, and she always answers "no".

I am always amazed at how different they are from each other, and yet they are all so sweet and beautiful in their own ways. Ryan and I just adore these three little angels we have been blessed with.
