Abby is Six

Happy Birthday Abby!
Today is my sweet Abby's birthday.
She had a party last Saturday at Jungle Jim's.
After the party she had a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa Paulsen's
They took her shopping.
She got the cute blue outfit in the second picture.
Tonight we will take her out to dinner.
I hope you have a great day darling.

Halloween 09

I did not get any real great pictures of their costumes. Bridget was a pirate, Abby was Dorothy, and Anna was Cinderella. We visited both sets of grandparents. We went trick or treating on their streets. The girls said it was the funnest Halloween ever.

Happy Birthday Bridget

Bridget turned 9 on October 13, We had a family party for her.
It was on a Monday so we played Family Home Evening games.

Snow College Reunion

On October 10, We went to dinner with some of my roommates from Snow College.
It has been more than 13 years since we lived together. It was so much fun to see
Brittany, Keri Wendy and Dana again after all these years. It was nice to see all of their
husbands, and some of the kids too. I felt like I was twenty again.

Princesses

Abby and Anna went to a princess birthday party. Cinderella and Belle were the special guests.
Anna was so happy when she walked in and saw a big Cinderella. Cinderella is her favorite princess. She practically lives in her Cinderella dress. The woman who was dressed as Cinderella lives across the hall from us and Anna really likes her, but I am not really sure if she realized it was her. She talked about the "big Cinderella" for days after the party.

The Great Salt Lake

We made the mistake of leaving our shoes in the car.
Our feet were pretty sore when we got to the water.

I have lived in Salt Lake City my whole life and this was the
very first time I have been to the Great Salt Lake.
We had a great time playing in the water and the mud.

Labor Day Picnic

Anna, going for a walk with Grandpa Paulsen.

Grandma, insert coke here.

Ahhhh!

Getting on the Bus.

It has been a while since I have posted. This may all seem like old news for many of you, but this was such a fun day. Abby has been waiting for this day for a long time. She really loves school.

I Found It!

We found the camera just in time for a road trip. Here we are on our way
to St.George for the Fourth of July weekend.

On Friday we drove to Las Vegas with Ryan's parents and brothers.
Anna and Grandpa sit down to rest while we wait in line for a buffet.

The girls really liked the lights in the floor.

We ate at Chilies on Saturday. I think Bridget is eating Pepper. (yuck)

My Three bathing beauties.

Splish, Splash.

Bridget is so strong she can carry Daddy.

Look. Abby can walk on water.

Relaxing in the pool.

Abby is floating.

This really was a driving, eating, and swimming trip. It was so fun to get away and spend time with Family. Thanks again Fran and David for letting us come with you. Like always the best part for the kids was the pool at the motel. We did a lot of swimming. They also loved have Grandma and Grandpa right next door. It was a great trip.

Where is my camera?

OK. I have lost my camera. I hate posts without pictures. but I hate not posting just because my camera is lost.

Abby is in soccer this summer and she loves it. She even made a goal last week. I think she does it mainly for the trophy they get at the end, but she has fun too.

Bridget is enjoying summer, but she also misses school. She loved her teacher and she likes to draw draw pictures of them together. She is my budding writer. I gave her a note book and she uses it as a journal. Her teacher also told me that she is very good at poetry.

Anna is my sweet 2 year old. She still loves yogurt, but she does not smear it in her hair anymore(Thank goodness). Now she stands her spoon up in it and sings "Happy Birthday to You".

I sure love these girls. They are the greatest!

The Greatest little Dancers in the World

Bridget's tap dance

Boogy Woogy

Abby's Ballet

Poor Bridget had scraped knees , so this part
of the dance was difficult for her.

Two Beauties!

Abby and Miss Julie.

On Saturday June 6, Bridget and Abby had their spring Dance Recital. The Theme this year was "Children Of America". All the songs were patriotic. It was quite fitting that the performance was on D-day. My favorite dance was Bridget's tap dance. It was to "Boogy Woogy Bugle Boy". The Choreography was a little more advanced and it was really fun to watch. I wish I had gotten a video of it. Bridget's Ballet dance was to "God Bless America". Abby Danced to "Great Country" and "America The Beautiful". Their teacher Miss Julie has so many students that she does two recitals. Ours was at 9:00 am. The teacher asked Bridget if she would stay and dance in the 11:00 show. Abby decided to stay also. It was a long day but very fun.

Old Friends and New Friends

Last Friday we visited with two of my friends that I have known since elementary school. Jenny, Alisa, and I had fun catching up with each other. Our children had fun getting acquainted with each other. It was raining in the morning. Abby prayed that the rain would stop so we could swim. The rain stopped but it was very windy. The toys kept blowing out of the pool. The kids did not seem to mind though.
