Daddy is a Cosy Pillow

Last Saturday we were getting ready to go to Lagoon. We were not quite ready so Ryan went to rest on the bed while he waited for us. Anna went in to join him. When I was ready I went in to get them and this is what I saw. I took some pictures and then let them sleep for a little while longer. They looked so cozy I could not disturb them.

Anna "HAPPY HIPS" Paulsen

Before I took the first video, when I put this headband on Anna she wiggled her head around and looked very proud, but this time she didn't do it. Oh well it is cute any way. I did not notice the bag of trash in the background until now. Well I guess we need some realism.

The After Party

Anna let go of the balloons

After the Ryan's birthday party Grandma and Grandpa Paulsen stayed for awhile and helped us get the girls ready for bed. we all had to have our picture taken with Ryan's balloons. Abby even took some pictures of me. She is my budding photographer, she loves to take pictures Ryan wasn't in any of the pictures but his elbow made an appearance in one that Abby took of me.

PIGGY TAILS

Anna loves it when I do her hair and she doesn't pull them out. This is very unlike her sisters at this age. The only problem is that she does not have as much hair to do. I think these pig tails look so funny. It brings more attention to the fact that she has no hair. The other day I was begging Bridget to let me do something with her hair, but she would not let me. Anna understood what I was saying and she backed up to me and pointed to her hair, so I put in some pig tails. I guess I should appreciate this time because soon she will have lots of hair and won't want me to do anything with it, and it sure is easy to wash. Maybe I should cut my hair like hers. Think of all the time I would save not doing my hair, Oh wait I don't spend much time on my hair. I don't even think I brushed it yet today. Long gone are the days when I used to spend at least an hour on my hair. Oh well I think my children are worth it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN

Today is Ryan's Birthday! We are usually out of town on his birthday because it usually falls during labor day weekend. This year we were home and I decided it would be fun to have a little party for him. Abby and Bridget decided it should be a surprise party. So I told Ryan I was going to make him a special dinner and asked him to be home at 7:00. I invited our families and a few of his friends from work. He was surprised to see everyone. We all had a great time.

Another First Day Of School

Abby had her first day of pre-school today. She was so excited, she even woke up by herself. If you know how she loves to sleep in you will understand how amazing this is. I saw many children clinging to their mothers, but not Abby she went right in and made friends. This child is not a bit shy. She said that they played outside, and played with play dough, and painted, and read a story. She said that they didn't really learn anything today. It was a good day.

Colter Bay

This weekend we went to Grand Teton National Park. This has been a tradition in Ryan's family since before I met him. We stayed in the cabins at Colter Bay. This is our kind of camping. The cabins have electricity and heat (most of the time). There is an indoor bathroom, and housekeeping comes in every day to clean the room. We had a great time. Many of Ryan's dad's brothers and sisters and their families came too, and we all got together for breakfast and dinner.

On Saturday we had a picnic and went kayaking on String Lake. The girls loved playing in the water. By Sunday the weather got rainy and cold. On Sunday night the power in the cabins went out. It was a little inconvenient, but we still had fun. We came home on Monday.
