OOOH, WOW

I am really sad to see people taking down their Christmas lights. When we would drive down the road Anna would say "OOOH WOW", at every house with lights on it. It was so cute. She probably won't do it next year. Oh well maybe she so something even cuter.

Anna at Preschool

One of Abby's teachers was out of town this week. I went and helped in Abby's class twice this week. Anna came too. She thought she was part of the class. The other kids liked having her.

Anna is not as bald as Paul Shaffer anymore, but we still call her that when she wears these glasses.

Pictures of Tiffany Karl and Christine

Here is everyone holding their own picture.

This was my Birthday party. My Birthday was January 3. I turned 33. We had both our parents over and Ryan's brother Christian. We had cake and ice cream. We played a game that Bridget made up. She drew pictures of everyone at the party and passed them out. Then we all had to guess who's picture we had. It was very clever and fun. We all got a kick out of her pictures, especially the big lips on the girls.

Old Mother Hubbard went to the Cupboard and Found Anna and Abby

Anna did not like it when Abby got in. She thought it was hers.

This is what I got for my birthday. It is a large plastic pantry with shelves. The new apartment has more rooms and more space, but less storage. The girls helped me put it together and then played in it until I filled it with food.

It's Just Hair! (Isn't It?)

I have been talking about cutting my hair for awhile. Finally on my birthday I did it. I am to lazy to get my hair cut very often so it always gets very long, and then I get annoyed with it and cut it off. This time I decided to donate it to Locks Of Love. My childhood friend Debi cut it and styled it for me. It was so great to spend time with her.

This is a very new style for me. It has many layers and I have bangs. I have not had bangs since I was in seventh grade, but back then they were the poofy eighties bangs. I am still getting used to it. Every time I walk past a mirror I can't believe it is me. Ryan likes it. I spend less time in the shower, and it dries much faster. Not to mention what I will save on shampoo and conditioner, it takes much less.

What do you think? Be Honest!

New Year

We have done so much since my last post. one great thing we did was go to my parents annual New Years Eve Sleepover. Years ago when I was still in high school my parents started having their young grandchildren come sleepover on New years Eve. At that time there were three little boys who came. As the family grew the party dis too. Those three little boys are now 18 and 19 years old now. The older ones came over this year for awhile to say hi, but they did not sleepover this year. (they have more important things to do). My kids love this tradition. A few years ago I started sleeping over too. My mom won't let Anna come unless she has parental supervision. The older kids did not go to sleep until about 5:30AM, and then Anna woke up at 6:00 am. At midnight we all went outside and banged on pots and pans. The neighbors are very patient with us, they have never complained.
