Books and Bagels

At school today we had Books and Bagels. Parents can go to school early with the kids and eat bagels and read to them. We had a great time, even Anna.

Where have I been?

It has been so long since my last post. It seems like things just get more boring when school starts. We do the same things every day. I get up at seven and try to wake the girls up. We finally get out the door and drive to school. I walk in with them because I have to sign Abby in to her class. The girls like to eat breakfast at school so they go to the cafeteria. I go over to Abby's classroom and wait for her because it is just to embarrassing to have your mom with you. When they are done Bridget goes to class and Abby goes to class and Anna and I go home to wait for Rita to come. When Rita's Mom drops her off she is pretty good unless I try to set her down. The trouble begins when it is time to pick up Abby. I carry Rita out to the car and Anna walks beside us. When I try to put Rita into her car seat she arches her back and kicks and screams. I have to hold her down and do up the straps as quickly as I can. Then I put Anna in her car seat and we are off. I drive to the school listening to the screaming all the way. When we arrive I get Rita out first. I always make the mistake of undoing the bottom buckle first and then she buck up and almost scoots out before I can undo the top buckle. (One of these days I will remember to do it the other way around). Then I carry her around to the other side of the car to get Anna out and then I carry them both into the school. We get Abby and then we repeat the whole car seat thing again and then drive home. Anna takes a nap and I try to get Rita to take a nap. eventually Bridget comes home and asks what fun thing we are doing today. I try to get Bridget to do her homework. She usually does a good job but sometimes she gets emotional and we need to get out the box that we have dubbed the Homework Tissues. After Rita goes home I try to figure out what to have for dinner. We eat and then we get ready for bed. This is our normal day, it is not very interesting.
I have decided to stop tending Rita and the other little boys. I have decided to concentrate my energy on my own children. Rita was just too hard. She reminds me of the Sharpie commercial that was on a few years ago. The Mom would try to set the baby down and as soon as his feet touched the floor he would cry and as soon as she lifted him up he was quiet.

READING TIME

Bridget needs to read for at least twenty minutes a day. She was laying on the floor reading when Anna decided to join her. Anna is also very fascinated by her own belly button.

Two More Additions to Our Family

I Also tend these two brothers two days a week. They are so much fun. It is pretty weird to have boys around though. The first day they came I wondered what they would want to play with. All we have are girly pink toys. The good thing is they don't care. They love this doll house, but they always call it "the castle". We always have fun when they are here.

A New Addition To Our Family

This is the newest addition to our family. I started babysitting this little girl on September 9. This is probably why I have not posted in so long. In this picture she is crying and crawling towards me. She is only happy when she in my arms. She is so sweet.

Fun At Lagoon

This year Abby was tall enough to go on just about every ride.
The problem was that she thought she wanted to go on everything until she got on. when you are tall for your age you are not always brave enough for all the rides.

The Carousel is just the right speed for Anna.
Actually it is just about right for Abby too.

We won two little panda bears. Anna liked to play with them while Bridget, Abby, and I were on rides.

Bridget found a Lady bug

We were all wet after going on Rattlesnake Rapids, So we got some ice cream at Pioneer Village.
